Discussion

This was a rectangular spit, excavated to define the relationship between Grubenhaus 012AD07057 and ditch 012AD05026. The material removed was a sandy silty loam (Munsell colour 10YR 4/3). The spit helped to demonstrate the the Grubenhaus cut through the ditch.
